Robin 3x3 Classic

This is a tournament designed for players who
what a little extra skating fun this summer. It is a chance to play in a
fun, fast paced tournament full of lots of extras.



Format:
-
Two Divisions: Open D1 and Open D2 - Eight teams in each
division
-
Each team consists of up to 6 players 21 or older (3 on the rink at
one time)
-
Rinks are divided across the ice at the center line
with professional boards and Plexiglas.
-
Each game consists of 2 periods each 8 minutes halves running
time. A minute between periods with 3 minutes of warmups.

Teams will play in 7 mini-games throughout the day. Bring
skate guards and be prepared to stay dressed most of the day.

Food vendors will be available in the locker area.
-
Only stoppage of time is when a goal is scored or the puck
leaves the playing area.

Two games are played at one time on each rink. across ice
(width wise) with goalies. Goalies are not part of your team. Goalies are in
their own tournament.

Goalies are registered separately. Teams are encouraged to
bring goalies, but goalies will be in their own tournament. Goalies will
play one period for each team and then rotate to the next team on the ice.

A goalie ref will keep stats on each goalie.
Rules:
-
No checking permitted! Checking is a major penalty. If a
player is a problem, a major penalty will be assessed.

All minor penalties will result in a penalty shot for the
opposing team. All major penalties will result in a game ejection.

Only 3 players on the ice at one time and 2 players on the
bench at one time. Changing on the fly is permitted.

Any fighting whatsoever will result in a
TOURNAMENT disqualification
-
Goalies will compete in a GOALS AGAINST AVERAGE
competition throughout the weekend

Goalies must play at least 4 games in a division to
qualify to play in the playoffs for that division
-
All team members should have matching jerseys
-
All players must be registered at the ROTR registrations
and have a ROTR 3x3 helmet sticker before stepping on the ice.

Only stoppage of play is when a goal is scored or the puck
goes out of play.

Cost:
Cost per team for the
tournament is $275
Divisions:
OPEN D1: Advanced to average skaters. Most have high school or
higher level of skating. Faster pace and higher skill.
OPEN D2: Beginners to moderate skill level. Most skaters are
new to the game or have never played at a level above high school.
EXTRAS:

The entire tournament is played at the Recreation Center
in Rochester

Every team will receive a bottle of Shakers Volka at
registration
-
Mickey's will have a bar in the arena during the day with
player discounts
-
There will be a player banquet including a pig roast, bean
bag tournament, live entertainment, raffle and more at Mickey's in the
evening.

Hotel discounts for players are available at several
hotels including one across from Mickey's
-
Mickey's shuttle bus will shuttle players from the arena
to the bar and hotels or for a small cost ... home
-
Tournament Headquarters will be in the Conference room at
the Recreation Center.
