Division Descriptions
Open Division 1
This division is open to teams of the highest skill level requesting to play in
the Robin. Teams in this division have proven that they belong to be classified
as a D1 Robin caliber team. Skaters in this division are typically A level
skaters (Pro/ Ex Pro/ D1/ D3/ Jr. or very skilled late bloomers). All players
must be 21 years of age or older. This is a very fast and very competitive
division. Teams must have won their way into this division. The division will be
a round robin format with each team playing each other once and the top two
teams playing for the D1 champs. The pairings for the first round of games will
be assigned by random draw.
Open Division 2
This division will be open to teams consisting of players that are 21 years of
age or older. Skaters in this division are B level skaters and consist of
average to above average skill levels. All players must be 21 years of age or
older. This is the most sought division of the Robin and the waiting list is
long to get in. If a team wins this division they are moved to Division 1 the
following year. The division will consist of 2 pools (named after the founders
of the ROTR… Dickman and Fitch). The two pools will play a round robin format
with the winners of each pools squaring off in a championship game. Teams will
play a minimum of three games. The pairings for the first round of games will be
assigned by random draw.
Open Division 3
This division will be open to teams consisting of players that are 21 years of
age or older. Skaters in this division are B level skaters and consist of
average to above average skill levels but slightly less skill level as Division
2 skaters. All players must be 21 years of age or older. The division will
consist of 2 pools (named after the founders of the ROTR… Amundson and Skooter).
The two pools will play a round robin format with the winners of each pools
squaring off in a championship game. Teams will play a minimum of three games.
The pairings for the first round of games will be assigned by random draw
Open Division 4
This division will be open to teams consisting of players that are 21 years of
age or older. The division will consist of four teams and will be a straight
robin format. There is no championship game… the team with the highest
accumulative points will be declared the winner of this division. The players in
this division are of lower B to upper C level skaters.
This division will be open to teams consisting of players that are 21 years of
age or older. The division will consist of four teams and will be a straight
robin format and no championship game. The players in this division are of lower
C and D level skaters (Novice Level). There
MAY NOT be players that have played College D1, D3 or Jr. hockey.
This division is reserved for those that love to play the game but are still
working on becoming a super star.
30+ Division 1 (Mixed)
30+ Division 2
This division will be open to teams consisting of all roistered players being of
30+ years of age. Most skaters are B to upper C level. The division will consist
of four teams. There is no championship game… the team with the highest
accumulative points will be declared the winner of this division
40+ Division 1
(mixed)
This division will be open to teams consisting of the majority of roistered
players at 40+ years of age. Teams are allowed 5 players not of the age of 40
but these players must be of 35 years of age. The skaters in this division are
A-B level. The division will consist of four teams; and will be of round robin
with the team with the highest accumulative points declared the winner of this
division. Teams
will play minimum of three total games. The pairings will be matched by random
draw.
40+ Division 2
Fossils (50+)
Division 1
(mixed)
This division will be open to teams consisting of the majority of
roistered players at 50+ years of age. Teams are allowed 5 players not of the
age of 50 but these players must be of 45 years of age. The division will
consist of four teams; and will be of round robin with the team with the highest
accumulative points declared the winner of this division. Teams
will play minimum of three total games. The pairings will be matched by random
draw.
Open Women's Division
B1
This division will be open to women teams consisting of
players that have played at a
high school (JV or varsity level). The women of this
division typically play at the WHAM B level.
The division will consist of four teams; and will be of round robin format with
the team with the highest accumulative points declared the winner of the
division. Teams will play minimum of three total games. The pairings will be
matched by random draw.
Open Women's Division
C1,C2
This
division will be open to teams consisting of C-D level women skaters. This
division is reserved women who
have never played organized hockey at the high school or collegiate levels….
or if they have-it was a darn long time ago!. The
women of this division typically play at the WHAM C1 & C2 level.
The division will consist of four teams; and
will be of round robin with the team with the highest accumulative points
declared the winner of this division. Teams will play minimum of three total
games. The pairings will be matched by random draw.
Novice (True
Novice) This division will be open to teams consisting of players of limited to poor skating and stick handling ability. This league is NOT for teams with players that are good skaters and hockey players. Contact the tournament director before entering into this division as teams to make sure your team does not exceeding the ability level of this division.

These are the divisions as they were set for the 2007 tournament.
The 2008 divisions have not been determined yet. Use this guideline
