Governing Rules Of The TournamentLast updated March 22,2007 Registration: · Each player must register before the scheduled time of their team’s first game they intend to play · Players (subs) are allowed but they must be registered before the start time of their team’s next game (you can not sub onto a team if you are registered with a different team in the same tournament… once registered that is the only team you may play with). · All players must provide and present a valid drivers license or proof of identification (age) at time of registration · All team participants must sign a Return Of The Robin waiver at time of registration. · A ROTR helmet stickers must be placed on your helmet and it is suggested that the player badge be kept on your person · Official rosters and all credentials must be available on the bench at all times. · Helmet Stickers: No player will be able to step on the ice with out the helmet sticker affixed to their helmet Rosters · There is not a limit to the number of players on a roster. · All players or any non-player team associates (coaches, managers etc.) must be a registered participant if they plan to be on the ice, team bench or locker rooms. · All rosters must abide to the age and skill requirement of their division… any exception must be confirmed by both teams before the game begins. · Players may only play for one team. A player may NOT register for multiple teams. If a player is caught playing on a multiple teams a protest may be submitted to the Return Of The Robin committee. All games (regardless of team) that the player participated will receive a team(s) loss. · Open D1 & D2: players must be 21 years of age or older · 30+ D1: all players must be 30 years of age or older · 30+ Mixed: the majority of the players must be 30 years of age or older; allowed 5 roistered players 25 or greater · 40+: all players must be 40 years of age or older · Fossils: all players must be 50 years of age or older · Novice: all players must be 21 years of age or older · Goalies may be of any age regardless of age restrictions Officials · There will be two officials governing each game . The official’s ruling is absolute for that game · Any harassing of the officials will not be tolerated and can result in discipline actions taken by the ROTR committee… up to team ejection. Sports Rules Slap shots are not permitted. Slap shots are defined as a stick rose above the waist. The penalty shall be a face off in the violating team’s zone. No checking will be allowed. Penalty results in a 2-minute penalty. The official’s call is absolute not subject to protest. Fighting is not tolerated. If an official tosses a player for fighting they are ejected from the game their call is absolute. Each team will be granted one 30 second (stop time) per game. Games · Games will be three 20 minute running time periods, 5 minute warm up, Two 2 minute period breaks · There is no over time except for championship games Protests · A team may submit a protest to the ROTR committee. · Each member of the ROTR committee will review submitted protests and vote on appropriate action. · The ruling decision will be majority vote of the ROTR Committee Points Win = 8 pts Loss by 1 goal = 3pts Loss by 2 goals = 2pts Loss by 3 goals = 1pts Loss by 4 goals = 0pts Tie = 6pts for each team
Tiebreakers A- least amount of goals scored on (let in) B- simple coin toss.
